People told her she didn’t fit the mold.
A teacher in high school noted that Allie must have quite the engine “to move all that weight.”
She also came from a divorced family of alcoholics, her sister passed away Allie’s junior year of college, and then she suffered a major injury.
None of that kept her from placing 5th in the New York City marathon in 2017, with a time of 2:29:39.
