The Cannonball Mindset

Jun 25, 2019

Work for yourself and work in the food business (because people will always need food). That was the advice Dan DiZio received from his father from a very young age.

Growing up, Dan lived next door to a family who owned a pretzel company. The father and his two sons would go into work at around three or four in the morning to twist and bake the pretzels and they’d hit the road by 9 AM to make their deliveries. They delivered their fresh pretzels to schools, hospitals, gas stations, etc.

Today, that’s exactly what he’s doing as the Philly Pretzel king. Or, more formally known as, the CEO and Co-Founder of the Philly Pretzel Factory

What started as an 11-year-old kid selling pretzels 5 for $1 at a busy intersection in Philadelphia is now a booming franchise across 12 states. When you’ve spent this many years in business, you’ve learned a thing or two from experience. On this episode, Dan shares his store of start up and the many lessons he’s learned along the way that have led to his incredible success.
